Thank you for visiting my site!

I am a native New Yorker and NYC based singer and actor who lived abroad for 20 years performing mostly musical theater. I studied classical voice, and physical clowning in Europe and experimental theater at NYU. Back in New York more than 10 years ago,  I began working in the neo-vaudeville, clown and burlesque scene creating acts that I perform in international festivals, and in the New York Variety show scene.  I switched to jazz eight years ago, and now sing and play clarinet with various combos around town. In my free time I volunteer at The Wild Bird fund, taking care of injured birds traveling through or living in the Big Apple. I love bird watching, doing Zumba and (don't tell anyone), watching Housewives shows! Check out my news for all my latest performances and concerts.

Kind Words

Jenny Lee Mitchell, who’s also the clarinetist, and seasoned professional clown... in-character throughout as a blonde gangster’s moll, scats Charlie Parker’s “Ornithology” as the instrumental break on “How High the Moon,” and on clarinet she often doubles guitar or keyboards on fast bebop lines..... and in the midst of the neo-vaudeville kitsch you realize these people can really play.
